JAM FEST ‘88
The Ultimate Block Party
The branding for JAM FEST ’88 was inspired by the fresh Hip-Hop scenes of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Colors at the time were bright and exciting, and this identity perfectly captures the look and feel of a great era in Hip Hop! The electric highlighter yellow pairs naturally with the royal blue and the soft use of the indigo overlay. Throughout the collateral material you find a gentle use of line and textured patterns. The late 80’s were notorious for experimenting with line patterns and this identity pays an homage to the patterned aesthetic.
The collateral material included a set of VIP passes with matching lanyards. Once your tickets are purchased you will receive a dye cut invitation with the line-up of resurrected artists. These custom cut invitations are printed on a rugged 80# Natural Cover. Throughout Providence, you will find a series of these 6ft tall JAM FEST ’88 posters and banners. There’s a consistency in the print material that includes the iconic “rap baby” with the small flat top and indigo overlay.
